Create an Email Broadcast

1. Go to Emails.
2. Select Add New.
3. Fill in all required details and upload your mailing list. You can import Excel files in XLS, CSV, or XLSX formats.

Preparing Your Mailing List

• The first column must contain attendee email addresses.
• You can include additional columns with details like Name, Company, Seat Number, etc.
• These details help you personalise your email by inserting placeholders.

Placeholders

Placeholders can be used to personalise your emails, defined by the column headers in your mailing list. Using the above mailing list as an example, the placeholders will be defined as:

To personalise your email, select the required field under Insert Placeholders drop-down menu and insert them into your email. Here’s an example of a personalised email:

Dear #ITEM1#,

We are pleased to inform you, representative of #ITEM2#, that your registration is successful. Please note that you have been allocated seat number #ITEM3#. We look forward to seeing you at our event.

Track Links

Enable link tracking under Email Content by selecting Track Links. Links found in your email content will appear, and you can choose which links to track by ticking the required checkboxes.

Preview Your Email

Before sending, use Preview eDM to see how your email looks with custom recipient details.

Email Reports

Track key metrics under Emails > View or Report:

• Send date
• Email opens (with date & time)
• Open rate
• Link clicks

Note: An email is considered “opened” when the recipient downloads images or clicked on a tracked link. If you are sending a plain text email without images or link tracking, only send date can be tracked.
